Commissioning time for the Outrigger
The outrigger structure, that was designed and constructed by Eager.one, has recently been commissioned on board of the self-elevating platform JB-117 of Jack-up Barge. During commissioning of the outrigger, the first jetty piles have been installed. The piles are part of the development of the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim field, offshore Mauritania and Senegal.
An impressive amount of 250 piles in total will be installed by the outrigger. These piles have varying sizes between 1830 mm and 2100 mm outside diameter. The outrigger is designed with a semi-automatic, hydraulic operated working envelope of 12 meter x 13 meter. This enables installation of multiple piles without the necessity of relocating the JB-117.
Take a look at some of the pictures that were taken during commissioning of the outrigger:

Pile installation by night

Multiple foundation piles are placed very accurately from one jack-position

The “arms” can skid alongside the outrigger, making it possible to to install multiple piles from only one jack-position.
