Transition Piece Lifting Tools

In the offshore wind industry, transition pieces (TPs) serve as critical connectors between the foundation, typically a monopile, and the wind turbine tower. The installation of these substantial components, often weighing hundreds of tonnes, necessitates specialized lifting tools to ensure safe and efficient handling.
Transition Piece Lifting Tools in Offshore Wind
The importance of specialized lifting tools
Tailor-made TP lifting tools are crucial for safe and efficient offshore wind installations, minimizing risks through secure attachment points, accelerating installation with optimized designs, and ensuring precise positioning for structural integrity.
Our Expertise in TP Lifting Solutions
Eager.one has extensive experience in designing and constructing advanced TP lifting tools, tailored to meet the specific needs of offshore wind projects. Our portfolio includes a range of innovative solutions:
Compact modular design
We have developed TP lifting tools with a compact modular design, featuring trunnions for upper sling attachment to a passive heave compensator (PHC) and equipped with pin pushers for lower sling attachment and release. These tools are powered by a standalone, battery-charged hydraulic power unit (HPU) and can be operated remotely, enhancing both safety and efficiency.
Suitable for T-flanges and L-flanges
We have designed and delivered TP lifting tools suitable for both L-flanges and T-flanges. L-flanges feature a single row of bolts, while T-flanges have a double row, requiring different lifting solutions to ensure safe and efficient installation.
Interchangeable links
TP Lifting Tools with interchangeable links are designed for flexibility. The tool is based upon a proven TP tool concept, that has been successfully deployed in several offshore wind farm projects. The interchangeable links allow seamless integration with project-specific lifting lugs, accommodating variations in geometry and capacity for safe and efficient operations.
