Review lifting plans for Lifting “Tree structures” in Saudi Arabia

The project comprised the erection of the columns and spheres with a CC 8800-1. In view of risk mitigation and operational control the client wanted a cold eyes review of the lifting plans and operations manuals and expertise on-site during the critical lifts.

The client requested Eager.one to have all lifting plans being reviewed by an independent Subject-Matter-Expert. Moreover, they requested us to be on the job site to supervise all major lifts.  Above all, the ultimate goal of our presence was zero accidents and zero injuries during the installation works.

Review lifting plans

The lifting plans and operations manuals were reviewed by the Eager.one team in the Utrecht office. They made sure all critical aspects were covered and no grey areas were left unanswered. Any comments and recommendations were reported and the final plans were updated.

Furthermore, to become familiar with the local situation, we attended the kick-off meeting on-site. Here we could also discuss the day-to-day operations with the team on-site. Upon start of the project, the Eager.one consultant set up the supervision during the day and night shift and coordinated the operations on a daily basis. All critical lifts were supervised by our supervisor.

This combination of independent desk review and supervision on-site was experienced as a catalyst for all parties involved to work in accordance with the plans and focus on safety during the complete operation.
